About Lewes Castle

Set in the town centre of Lewes, Lewes Castle sits high above the medieval streets of the town, it began live soon after 1066 by William de Warenne and with a 950-year history this Norman Castle was built after the Battle of Hastings.

With it’s fantastic views over the far-reaching Sussex countryside from it’s keep, which is accessed by a steep climb up the zig-zag steps from the Gun garden at street level and the location of our screenings at the this fantastic venue as part of our 14th season of Outdoor cinema under the stars.

Attendees will be able to enjoy the grounds of the castle and the live music artist as the sun sets and before we hit play on the films.
