Outdoor cinema at Chartwell
The UK’s longest-running independent Outdoor Cinema provider comes to Chartwell National Trust
About Chartwell House
One of the most famous and iconic homes in South East England. The former home of Sir Winston Churchill and his family for 40 years. This National Trust-managed property houses the largest collection of Churchill’s paintings and is filled with treasures from every aspect of Churchill’s life, the rooms remain much as they were when he lived there. Sir Winston Churchill himself heavily designed the gardens since his purchase of the property in 1922.
The hillside gardens, which attendees to the screening can explore before the films, reflect on Churchill’s love of the landscape and nature – including the lakes he created, the kitchen garden and the Marycot, a playhouse designed for Mary, Winston and Clementine’s youngest daughter.
Chartwell and its hillside gardens are the perfect setting for two of our screenings this summer. Attendees will be able to explore the gardens before the films start.
