The Film: Operation Mincemeat
In 1943, with World War II at a turning point, British intelligence masterminds one of the most audacious deception strategies ever conceived: Operation Mincemeat. With the Allies planning a critical invasion of Sicily, intelligence officers Ewen Montagu (Colin Firth) and Charles Cholmondeley (Matthew Macfadyen) devise a high-risk ruse.
As they race against time, navigating espionage, secrecy, and the shadow of war, the fate of thousands hangs on whether Germany falls for the deception.
Join us at the historic Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill, for a spectacular VE Day anniversary screening of this gripping true story.
Experience an unforgettable night of cinema, history, and celebration as we honour the intelligence and courage that helped shape the war’s outcome.
