The Film: The Muppet Christmas Carol
The fabulous Muppets band together to teach Scrooge (Played by Michael Caine) the meaning of Christmas in this charming adaptation of Charles Dickens classic tale. All set on Christmas Eve, in 19th Century London, with the Muppet character of Gonzo narrating us through the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a surly moneylender, who does not share the merriment of Christmas.
The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge. While other classic members of the Muppets including; Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle, weave in and out of the musical take on the timeless classic story of old.
With a fantastic light-hearted and funny twist, that still manages to get across the importance of the original Charles Dickens novel.
